Forever and a day
You came to me like sunbeams through the cloud
Scattering your radiance, warmth and laughter
I resisted, my loneliness wrapped in a shroud
The prospect of delight ran parallel my rafter
Blithe and light, soaked in peace, love and merry
We discovered a life, a symphony of passion
And then you said, ‘Walk with me, Cherie’
Our souls dancing the tango in repetition
With every passing year, I pray our precious love
May never wither, never ever fade away
Sunshine oscillates with the stars shining above
I know I will love you forever and a day
Scattering your radiance, warmth and laughter
I resisted, my loneliness wrapped in a shroud
The prospect of delight ran parallel my rafter
Blithe and light, soaked in peace, love and merry
We discovered a life, a symphony of passion
And then you said, ‘Walk with me, Cherie’
Our souls dancing the tango in repetition
With every passing year, I pray our precious love
May never wither, never ever fade away
Sunshine oscillates with the stars shining above
I know I will love you forever and a day

ah, the sun is too dim a star
in comparison with your radiance,
the moon too distant a beauty
to compare to your serenity,
constellations too vague
to be related to your brilliance,
and,
the universe too small to capsule your entity.
lost in fantastic gaze upon all i may become, ever encountering such essence is torment,
yea,
punishment one may ne'er deserve.
loosing inhibition dued nought,
and juxtaposition's as parallel irrepute...
maybe tomorrow she knows.

ANON,
WOW, that first verse was really nice and I did not get most of the second verse . . . Thank you for taking the time to write it :)
Second wind,
yeah, I don't know smitten by who tho'. The real superman's birthday is on Feb 29th actually ;) this is just a pretend superman ;)
Did you hear that superman?? any comebacks?
By
chérie, at 10:37 AM
congrete raja,
I'm glad you liked it. And what is this new toy that gives you so much pleasure while watching TV???
By
chérie, at 10:39 AM
@Second Wind:
Thanks!
@Congrete Raja:
I am glad you like it. However, the "toy" is still a prototype and may be slightly unstable. If you hear a rumble or thunder while using it, start driving away from the city as fast as you can - remember to head to the ocean.
@Votre Cherie:
Pretend Superman??? If you stop telling lies about me, I'll stop telling the truth about you, Cosmo girl!

verse of the poet,
captivating, she knowing only
sweet truths uttered,
recoils her wind unto infinity
for it is all,
it is ever.

the marriage of soul to body
whistles from time to time
themes woven of love and life.
there, opened to no more than
equality and/or hypocrisy
are two as one for
as long as union is
nourished and appreciated...
otherwise, unknown is the thing,
discarded, downtrodden, disrespected.
when this is,
so is loss of
kindness, care, & understanding.
what shall become of virtue then?

i hear the whistles now and then
and think to myself, alas brethren
looks like love and life are waging a war
time heals, but leaves a scar
I don't know what to write
from all the heavy words, no respite
I guess I'll kick back and relax
and do my hair with some beeswax
of course, hang on, wait a second...ah-choo!
oh gosh, my hand's full of virtue!

You overwhelm me! I really like your style of writing, though I have to admit that I don't get your poems the first time I read 'em . . . but that's cool cuz it gets me thinking . . . and I really like that . . .
The last anon,

Second wind,
It's great that some really creative and intelligent people (one of 'em yourself) visit my blog . . and I am also pleased that you come back and read the comments and wisecracks section now and then . . .
srikanth,

going unto heaven i wondered,
only seeing the probability/possibility you.
time's table allowed blasphemies
to there love may ne'er be satiated
for the shortcomings due unto,
and god cries.
i believe in a time for us,
and like noone knows
for this is the time for love.
if i were to die,
would one such as you be abled to love me?
i dare not imagine,
but curiosity has the best of me these days...
in the midst of cruel tricks, and wickedness.
i will see love,
but shall i?
hurt plagues my essences
as sure memory and thought.

i have heard of your beauty;
i have wondered of your bounty;
i have stilled all else but culture.
where doth wind begin
and dust end?
tis there in the breath i have dreamt of...
there in time's end.

wow anon,
I really like what you write . . . keep 'em coming.
